G - Kevin Punter - PAR - 12.9 - vs ASV
We do not normally recommend (relatively) expensive players, however, we will make an exception here for specific reasons: PAR has two losses in a row, so we expect a come back and them to win this one relatively easily. For this to happen, Kevin Punter will need to score (a lot) against a team that does not have defence as a first priority! In addition, Punter comes after two (relatively) bad (for his standards) games (PIR 11 vs VIR and 6 vs RMB), so this game is a great opportunity for him for a strong come back. A PIR above 19 is definitely achievable!
G - Isaiah Canaan - OLY - 8.3 - vs EA7
The last home game where Isaiah Canaan played at his standards was... at round 10 against ZAL! Since then, his home performance has been...let's say not the one the Greek fans were expecting! However, this has happened against teams known for their tough defence (RMB, BAY, VBC). Against EA7, there is a great opportunity for OLY to continue their 2-win strike and cheer the Greek fans at the onset of 2024! What a great opportunity for Isaiah to come back with a strong home performance against a team that suffers from injuries! For a price of 8.3 crd, this one seems a pick of a relatively modest risk that can pay you back with more than 13 PIR.
F - Rolands Smits - ZAL - 11.8 - vs BER
Rolands comes after a mediocre (for his standards) performance against MTA, so we expect him against BER to come back to his old standards, impress his new coach, Andrea Trinchieri, and lead his team's effort to win. Overall, there is something special between Smits and home games, as in the last five of them he had avg PIR ~ 16. This seems to be a relatively low-risk pick that can pay you with more than 18 PIR!
F - Shaquielle Mckissic - OLY - 6.6 - vs EA7
In the last two games, Shaquielle has performed at the 2022/23 season standards (PIR 11 and 13.2, respectively). We feel that he has started feeling really well again, and his coach, Georgios Bartzokas, knows that, so we expect him to spend ~ 20 min. on the court! What a great opportunity for a player that costs just 6.6 crd to shine and pay you back with more than 10 PIR. This is a definitely a value-for-money, costless option at the F position if you are looking for a player to fill in the fourth vacancy!
C - Georgios Papagiannis - FBB - 9.7 - vs CZV
If you are looking for a relatively costless option to fill in your second C vacancy, then, maybe it is time to think of Georgios Papagiannis! At a price of 9.7 crd you will get a C who in the last two games has PIR 20.9 and 15.4, respectively. It seems that Georgios likes playing for Saras, and against CZV, we expect him to play for ~20 min. as there is no opponent C to match his size!
